Advance Training Institute Call for course

The first ATI Call for courses was in response of the identified FP6 NoE INTEROP (http://www.interop-noe.org/) need for training. The intended training has to cover the more or less broad TEL issues related to the use of existing methodologies for using TEL into practice, but complemented with various practical examples based on the use of the Moodle system (http://www.moodle.org) and including a topic prescribing how to design SCORM compliant courses using Moodle. ATI prepared a detailed terms of reference and procedures for evaluating the offers which were published as a part of this call.

ATI received two full course offers as a response to the call for courses.

The first course " Developing and Using Multimedia Contents for Technology Enhanced Learning (with Moodle)" was proposed by Kaleidoscope member FEUP – Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto ( http://www.fe.up.pt)

The second course “Representations for learning in multimedia environments” was proposed by Kaleidoscope member Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

After careful analysis of the fitness of these course proposals to the user needs and preferences as a result of the selection process the course "Developing and Using Multimedia Contents for Technology Enhanced Learning (with Moodle)" was selected to be offered to the INTEROP members. The INTEROP members approve the course offered, made several preparation meetings with course developers, and the course delivery will start in February 2006.
